The OEM boost chamber on the Porsche Carrera 997.2 is T-shaped, which means that the airflow from the throttle body suddenly changes direction as it is split to each side of the intake manifold. Thanks to do88's experience with previous chambers Porsche realized that a Y-shaped joint was needed. In terms of airflow, the Y-shape is more efficient because it distributes the air more evenly and with less pressure drop.

The plenum is made of cast aluminum because it enables shapes that CNC-machining cannot imitate. The do88 plenum is designed with soft, flowing lines. Radii and angles have been revised and reworked many times. The joints are CNC machined and the plenum is supplied with suitable silicone hoses for optimum fitment and durability. The airflow improvement is verified using CFD (Computer Flow Dynamics) as well as tests on the Superflow SF1020 flow bench. Removing the restriction on turbocharged air reaching the intake will provide better throttle response and increased power throughout the powerband!
