Locking limited differential
Upgrade locking limited differential
Product detailed description
Simply put, the differential is the final point between the engine and the wheels where power is transferred. The differential works as a system that directs the engine's power to the wheels, allowing them to spin at different speeds.
Upgrading the differential gives you an advantage in both straight-line stability and vehicle handling when cornering. During full power straight running, our LSD (Limited Slip Differential) locks 100% and delivers torque equally to each driven wheel, ensuring stable straight running. Coming out of a corner, our LSD's transition to full 100% lockout is smooth and predictable. This gives the vehicle better cornering traction and stability, improves overall lap time and noticeably improves overall vehicle handling.
However, the track is not the only place where the differential comes into play. Bad weather and rough road conditions can make the street a dangerous place. In snow, ice, wet weather and areas where the road surface may be unstable, our LSD easily adapts and adjusts tire rotation to increase vehicle stability on the road and help dramatically improve driver safety.
Our differential is a unique, patented clutch type LSD, making it a true 100% locking differential. Thanks to this feature, there is no movement of the internal parts, which leads to the fact that less heat is generated during operation and, conversely, less wear on the friction discs.
NOTE:
Differentials will require fluid for the first fill and will need to be changed after the first break in service for the first thousand miles (1000 miles), then every fifty thousand (50,000) miles of street driving traffic or as needed based on your driving style.
