– 380 x 36mm EBC Floating Discs are a simple upgrade that seamlessly replaces the original pivot driven brake disc without modifying the vehicle.
– Unlike standard pivot driven discs that do not float, a fully floating rotor The EBC SG2F allows the outer cast iron friction ring to expand freely with temperature, completely eliminating disc 'warping'.
- The discs are grooved as opposed to the original rotors which are perforated. This allows the pad to vent without the holes becoming epicenters for disc cracking.
– G3500 carbon cast iron is used for the friction rings. This high-quality metallurgy has greater resistance to cracking and an increased ability to conduct and subsequently radiate heat. – Aluminum bells are made from aircraft aluminum and then hard anodized for long life, while the stock rotors use uncoated aluminum bells.
– Cast iron friction rings have 48 curved blades and are supplied for each side of the vehicle. This significantly improves the ability of the brake discs to radiate heat, increases the durability of the brake system and prolongs the onset of brake fade.
– The spools are made of stainless steel that does not corrode, ensuring that the disc floats freely throughout its life cycle on the vehicle.
